Minister of Environment and Forestry Welcomes AP2SI Social Forestry Festival Activities
Jakarta, February 6, 2023. Prof. Dr. Ir. Siti Nurbaya Bakar, M.Sc as the Minister of Environment and Forestry received an audience with the General Chairperson of AP2SI, the Chairperson of the East Java AP2SI Management Board, and the AP2SI Social Forestry Festival Organizing Committee at her Official Residence, Monday (6/2/2023).
In the meeting, the General Chairperson of AP2SI, Roni Usman K intended to convey the agenda of the AP2SI Social Forestry Festival which will last for 4 days.
"This year, on May 23-26, 2023, we will hold the AP2SI Social Forestry Festival, involving 271 people who are representatives of social forestry groups and supporting institutions from 18 provinces with the theme of Social Forestry as a Source of Livelihood."
In addition, Slamet as the chairman of AP2SI East Java added that the agenda of this activity will be centered on the site of the social forestry group LMDH Pesona Alam Lestari and the Hutan Rimba Makmur Farmers Group located in Padusan Village, Pacet District, Mojokerto Regency, East Java, in accordance with the mandate of the results of the 2022 AP2SI national working meeting. "In relation to that, we are holding an audience with the Minister of Environment and Forestry," said Slamet.
Muslihudin as the representative of the organizing committee who is also the Chairperson of LMDH Pesona Alam Lestari said that this activity will involve parties, both government institutions and non-government institutions, both national and regional.
He continued, his party also really wants the AP2SI Social Forestry Festival to be officially opened by President Ir. H. Joko Widodo so that we, the committee, are very interested in consulting and getting input, both in terms of substance and technical, and asking for the support of Prof. Dr. Ir. Siti Nurbaya Bakar, M.Sc as the Minister of Environment and Forestry, and also on this good occasion conveying a request to the Minister to be one of the keynote speakers in the national seminar which is one of the series of AP2SI social forestry festival activities.
Responding to this, in today's meeting, the Minister of Environment and Forestry welcomed and conveyed her support for this activity agenda and advised that this activity agenda can run according to plan and achieve its goals, said Muslihudin firmly.
