The Mojokerto Regency Government (Pemkab) received an audience from the Indonesian Social Forestry Management Association (AP2SI) of East Java Province, Thursday (9/3/2023). This meeting forum discussed preparations for holding the Social Forestry Festival in Mojokerto Regency.
The audience group was led directly by the Chairperson of AP2SI East Java Selamat. They were welcomed by the Regent of Mojokerto Ikfina Fahmawati accompanied by the Assistant for Economy and Development Hariono and the Head of the Nganjuk Forestry Service (CDK) Branch Endang Handayani at the Satya Bina Karya smart room of the Mojokerto Regency Government, related regional apparatuses, the Sub-district Heads and the Chairperson of the Social Forestry Festival Committee Saiful Anam.
For information, the Social Forestry Festival will be held in Padusan Village, Pacet District, which is planned for May 23-26, 2023. The opening of the event is scheduled to be attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
The Chairperson of AP2SI East Java Province, Selamat, asked for full support from the Mojokerto Regency Government for holding the Social Forestry festival in Padusan Village.
"In this case, we want to hold a Social Forestry festival in Padusan Pacet, related to the Social Forestry Festival, it was also welcomed by the president and he was also willing to attend the inauguration, for that we ask for support from the Mojokerto Regency Government," he said.
In addition, the implementation of the festival entitled 'Social Forestry as a Source of Life' will organize various activities such as implementing membership level consolidation, increasing family resources, increasing environmental preservation, improving the economy of members, and also to demonstrate the various potentials of each Forest Management Unit (KPH) institution.
In this regard, Regent Ikfina will fully support the implementation of the Social Forestry festival in Padusan Village. He also considered that further communication was needed regarding the presence of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to Bumi Majapahit.
"Of course we support because Mr. President is a rawuh, we in the Mojokerto Regency Government will adjust if he becomes a rawuh. Later, whatever the concept is like, we will continue to support it according to our capacity," he explained.
The number one person in the Mojokerto Regency Government also hopes that there can be more intensive coordination, both from the Nganjuk Regional CDK and from AP2SI in preparing for the implementation of the Festival.
"Hopefully, Mrs. Endang can bridge the gap, so that there will be coordination soon, so that we can prepare well in advance because in May, the activities will be as conveyed by Mr. Hariono, which will be cut short of fasting and all that," he concluded. (him)
