PALU- The Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) Provincial Management Board of the Indonesian Social Forestry Management Association (AP2SI) held a focus group discussion (FGD) "Publication of Practices and a business meeting of the Central Sulawesi social forestry group, held at the Volunteers of People and Nature (ROA), Jalan Dayodara, Palu City, Saturday (8/11).
The Head of AP2SI Sulteng, Hamdan, explained that the FGD activity aimed to increase the capacity of the Social Forestry Groups (KPS) assisted by AP2SI Sulteng.
"In order to collaborate in the future, it is related to social forestry," said Hamdan after the FGD.
In general, said Hamdan, to strengthen AP2SI Sulteng as a means of developing social forestry management as a manifestation of people's management areas (WKR) towards ecological justice.
The FGD resulted in several recommendations, including for AP2SI to be able to identify the potential of KPS/Social Forestry Business Groups (KUPS) both institutionally, regionally and in business. As well as building partnerships with other parties.
For supporting institutions to provide strengthening of KPS/KUPS, assist in developing potential, marketing and others.
Director of ROA Sulteng Subarkah explained the journey and shared experiences and challenges in building the ROA E Store dedicated to marketing regional products, assisting in the welfare and empowerment of the local community.
Present at the FGD were representatives from Sikola Mombine, KOMIU, Ekonesia and others.
