Pontianak (Suara Kalbar) – The Village Forest Management Institution (LPHD) of Dabong Village carried out its first harvest of vaname shrimp cultivation, which is an encouraging achievement in the development of productive and sustainable green economy-based social forestry in Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan (Kalbar).
“"The first harvest was carried out on an area of 9.5 hectares. This activity is part of the Delta Kapuas Project, a collaborative initiative that integrates sustainable natural resource management with strengthening the local economy of village communities," said Ya' Suharnoto, Head of the Kubu Raya Forest Management Unit (KPH), in Kubu on Tuesday.
He said the success of the first harvest proved that forest areas could be utilized optimally without ignoring the principles of environmental sustainability.
